The first DLC was much much worse, with only the red sniper mission even close to being fun (and still wasn't much fun, being stuck with 1 weapon, not changeable, and no way to fight your way through if stealth fails like in the full game). Last light was awesome, but not nearly as good (still the second best game ever made). Metro 2033 was fantastic, just the best game ever made. Plus, the game is really losing it's way now. Now I say it shouldn't continue because I want to see 4A games do something new, not get stuck doing metro forever. Tried the first, couldn't get into it (maybe because of poor translation from russian to english?), but loved the games. I don't care about the books, I don't read them. The only time I got the bad ending was in my first playthrough, and I don't understand why because I did pretty much the same thing I did in other playthroughs that got me the good ending. Horrible design flaw in this game, putting strippers in, but a lapdance for the player? Come on, it's metro not gta.Īnd I had a lapdance, killed lesnitsky, saved pavel, didn't kill many in the rest of the game unless I had no real choice (without being silly and going for the total no-kill run), and I still got the good ending. On my last two plays I couldn't get out of the room unless I paid for at least one lapdance. Not surprised that you got the good ending though, with all the other good stuff you did. I just finished the game today and I got the good ending *:)īoth of those of negative points. Search around everywhere, find as many hidden places as possible. Watch the bolshoi theatre show, completley Get the teddy bear for the young boy in venice Try to listen to every conversation, to the end, this gives mostly also karma points Kill as less people as possible (just knock them out) Originally posted by SnoozleWhite:dont kill lesniki I just hope we see more and more of this universe. (People of the moving pictures BE-WA-RE!!)įinally, I may have not yet to unlock the "better" ending of the game (I can imagine however just by looking at the achievements list on steam :3) but I feel that the "bad" ending is closer to what this "survival of the fittest" world is all about. You just need to try and work hard I guess. You can transfer stories from one medium to another without messing up anything. The way they have transferred the original atmosphere through this whole new different medium of storytelling fore me is perfect and just shows the potential of video games. However, I firmly believe that these two games have done a REALLY REALLY GOOD job. And I would have the books' endings over the games' anytime. The books have a completely different view of the Dark Ones-I think that they are represented more like "noble savages". It was left as a potential question for those who looked at it closely vs just "nice different people that want to be helpful friends". where he'd almost walked to his death - just 1 more assault was quite possible. No, they hadn't been just "mental attacks" but physically tearing humans apart and all the secret Kremlin stuff, the "voices in the pipes", etc. Either diapers and mind gutted or very little left being as they would tear appart anyone that got in reach. Towards the end of the book, he is told his best friend was literally torn limb from limb by a dark one and this was happening quite a bit. The dark ones were stated to be hideously strong. Think about it from the books point and even hinted at with the game. That final gig looked more like another one of those than a true revelation. He'd had several psychic attacks as he'd gone through the metro and survived them. Game was? It was pretty far off the mark from his accomplishments. Book wise - "Rabbit" made sense at the start. Quite different and Last Light was more a sequel to the book than to the game (especially with it coming from "the bad ending"). The games didn't leave questions but made it so the dark ones were "good". I liked the books ending morre than the 2 "good/bad" game endings. I hope so but I'd read the author of the book was going to extend Artyom's story more with a new sequel. Originally posted by «(MooP)»™:They might use another character as the new DLC's are gonna do that, but if they do go off the book for the next game artyom should be back.
